New to CPAP. Tried nasal mask, full face mask and now the nasal pillow. The nasal pillow is the keeper for me. I am a side sleeper and this nasal pillow works best for me.

ery soft on the bottom of my nose. The original pillows that insert into the nostrils had caused the inside of my nostrils to become chafed and irritated. I always had to cut the very top of them down to keep them from rubbing on the inside of my nose. This new silicone pillow completely covers the bottom of my nose without any rubbing on the inside. I was a little concerned that it would have leaks because of the lack of penetration in the nose to make the seal. I could not have been more wrong. The soft and pliable surface conforms perfectly with the surface of the nose to make a very smooth seal and eliminate any lingering leaks. I do strongly recommend using a mild astringent or alcohol solution to clean the surface of the nose before using. I found that the oils in and on my skin did compromise the seal slightly and I noticed a little bit more leakage around the nose.
Overall, although this style of pillow was different from what I had used before, I found that I was able to quickly adapt to the new style. I strongly recommend this pillow for those who have smaller nostrils or have a tendency to have irritation in the lower part of the nose. The silicone is very soft, comfortable, and easily conforms to the skin underneath the nose. There were only a couple of leaks that were quickly corrected by tightening the headgear.
