Cushion Removal and Attachment:
- Remove the gel cushion by detaching the comfort flap with its integrated and retaining ring from the faceplate. Do this by unhooking the side and bottom clips of the ring from their connection points on the faceplate and separating the pieces.
- Clean or discard the gel cushion as necessary.
- To attach, place the clean or new gel cushion into the faceplate. Then place the comfort flap over the gel cushion and push the retaining ring into the faceplate until it clicks into place.


Fitting Your Mask:
Refer to the fitting diagrams in these instructions.
- Position the stability selector to its uppermost position. Hold the mask cushion over your nose. Note: You might want to disconnect the quick clips before putting on your headgear.
- Slide the headgear over your head. Reconnect the quick clips after you have the headgear securely in position.
- Adjust the headgear over your head, Reconnect the quick clip after you have the headgear in position.
- Adjust the headgear evenly using the top and bottom headgear straps. The mask should rest comfortably against your face. Do not overtighten the headgear.
- Connect the flexible tubing from your therapy device to the mask elbow. Turn on the airflow.
- Minimal leaks are acceptable. Small adjustment are all that are needed to eliminate excessive leaks. Respironics recommends the following adjustments:
- Re-set the mask by pulling the mask directly away from your face and set it back into place gently.
- For leaks around your eyes, use the stability selector and adjust downward one click at a time.
- For leaks around your mouth, a slight adjustment to the lower headgear straps will minimize the leak, do not overtighten.
- Make any final adjustments lying down.

Regularly cleaning your CPAP mask parts and components is crucial for avoiding the accumulation of bacteria, debris, oils, and other contaminants. This will help prevent the buildup of germs that may cause skin irritation and other unwanted side effects.
Before following the instructions below, first make sure your CPAP machine is unplugged from the power source, disconnect your mask and air tubing from your CPAP machine, and disassemble your mask components into 3 parts (nasal cushions, headgear, and frame):
