The Tubing Clip for the Fisher & Paykel Nova™ Nasal CPAP Mask provides multiple options for tubing placement by connecting to the top of the SwingFit Headgear and allowing CPAP users to opt for an over-the-head tubing style to reduce tubing pull and drag during sleep apnea therapy.

Using Optional Tube Clip
Refer to the Tube Clip diagrams in these instructions.
- Find the Tube Clip on the Top Strap. The Tube can befitted by pushing it into the Tube Clip or removed by pulling itout. If you have fitted the Tube to the Tube Clip, the Tube should now sit on the top of your head.
- The Tube Clip can be removed by rotating and unhooking it fromthe Top Strap. To attach the Tube Clip, hook and rotate itback onto the Top Strap.
Useful tips:
- Take care to correctly orient the Headgear during assembly. The printed text on the Headgear should be facing upwards and the Diffuser should be above the Tube.
- There are features on the Headgear Clips to prevent incorrectassembly to the Frame.
- The Tube Clip will not fit in the usual position if you have adjustedthe Top Strap to the largest setting. The Tube Clip will have tobe fitted on the fabric part of the Top Strap on the opposite side.


The Nova™ Nasal Mask Tubing Clip should be replaced if noticeable damage is present or the clip no longer adequately connects to your SwingFit™ headgear or air tubing.

CPAP Mask Cleaning Guide
Regularly cleaning your CPAP mask parts and components is crucial for avoiding the accumulation of bacteria, debris, oils, and other contaminants. This will help prevent the buildup of germs that may cause skin irritation and other unwanted side effects.
Before following the instructions below, first make sure your CPAP machine is unplugged from the power source, disconnect your mask and air tubing from your CPAP machine, and disassemble your mask components into 3 parts (mask cushions, headgear, and frame):

Daily
- Using a mild detergent* and warm, drinking-quality water, gently clean your mask cushions to remove any dirt, debris, and oils. Vinegar solutions (3:1, water:vinegar mix) can be used by soaking for 30 minutes to kill accumulated bacteria.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight.
Mask Frame
Weekly
- Using a mild detergent* and warm, drinking-quality water, gently clean your mask frame to remove any dirt, debris, and oils. Vinegar solutions (3:1, water:vinegar mix) can be used by soaking for 30 minutes to kill accumulated bacteria.

- Hang dry, avoiding direct sunlight.
*Avoid using strong detergents or soaps, especially those that contain harsh chemicals, perfumes, dyes, moisturizers, or alcohol.
